Autumn is an awesome time of new beginnings, the falling of golden leaves, the days shortening and it’s back to school for children and Uni for others. And I’m thinking of my next project.
This can be so hard when you’re an author and marketer of your own books and you’ve got to juggle the two simultaneously. The temptation is to tip the weight of the scales disproportionately towards social media and get increasingly frustrated.
We start the writing process with God and then get all tangled up in marketing in the bid to make a sale. I’m learning to trust the same God that helped me write, to also make a way for the sales too, so that I can continue to get good content out there. This does not minimise the importance of engaging in social media, but suggests taking time to figure out how to get the balance right.
